Following a non-dredged reclamation, this project requires a deep cut and cover tunnel to be constructed within the marine despoits and reclamation fill. A key issue affecting the design of the excavation and lateral support is the distrubution of sand layers within the alluvium. The lithology (derived from CPT data) was modelled using Indicator Kriging to give a non-subjective interpretation.
