Craigievar Castle in Aberdeenshire is one of Scotland’s best preserved tower houses. It was built in the late 1500s, and cared for by the National Trust for Scotland since 1962. Research has demonstrated just how important Craigievar is in helping us understand how castles in Scotland were re-built and re-designed throughout their histories.
