More model informationThis cranium is associated with the burial of a woman between 35-45 years of age dated to the Early Bronze Age in Scotland (2140-1920 cal BC). The assemblage is curated at the Marischal College at the University of Aberdeen (ABDUA-14233 Cranium). The site was discovered at Sandhill quarry at Dalmore near Dirlot, Halkirk in Caithness in July 1960. The skeletal remains were examined, dated and subject to stable isotope analysis as a part of the Beakers and Bodies project run by Neil Curtis and Neil Wilkin, and recently published in ‘The Beaker People’ volume (Prehistoric Society Research Paper 7).
