Voici un lobolithe, qui est une sorte de boule creuse avec des chambres que certains crinoïdes (des animaux du groupe des oursins et des étoiles de mer dont les représentants actuels sont appelés Lys de mer) possédaient pour flotter, la tête en bas! Celuic-ci appartient à Scyphocrinites, du Silurien du Maroc.

Here is a lobolith, which is a kind of hollow ball with chambers that certain crinoids (animals of the group of sea urchins and starfish whose current representatives are called sea lilies) used to float, upside down! This one belongs to Scyphocrinites, from the Silurian of Morocco.
