Trench 5 over the eastern half of the “Cromlech Tumulus”, a Middle Bronze Age roundhouse on the slopes of Slievemore mountain, Achill Island. The site has been excavated by Achill Archaeological Field School since 2014. 2017 is our final season at the site. Our focus this year is tracing the eastern wall of the building and investigating the entrance area.
