More model informationMost of the carving resembles pieces from Lindisfarne and Durham. There are also some Anglo-Scandinavian elements, like the beast in the panel beneath the execution of the Apostle Peter - who was traditionally believed to have been crucified upside-down. There are many other early medieval pieces in this impressive church which dates back to Anglo-Saxon period.
