This is a small carved head wored in fine-grained sandstone. Its lower surface is broken, but the upper face and remaining back surface are roughly finished, indicating that the figure was set against or within another feature such as a niche. The face is well finished with smooth unlined features. It is thought to date from the late Medieval period and resides at St Andrews Cathedral.
