More model informationThis porcelain figurine dating to the late 19th century was recovered archaeologically from a privy behind the Industrial School for Girls in Dorchester. The school operated from 1859 to 1941, serving as a boarding home for disadvantaged girls. While at the school the girls were trained to work as domestic servants, and many of their stories have been revealed through a combination of archaeological and historic research.
