Another in my series of explorations of how cubism can be interpolated into 3D using VR.
For this exploration I took a few liberties to stretch some lines to connect when pushing into a 3rd dimension, trying my hardest to maintain the original proportions, placement, and artist intent, which isn’t always possible as OpenBrush is extremely imprecise/manual, with no anchors or fills. And tbh who knows what is what logistically in some cubist pieces, so I hope I perceived it acceptably!
These line drawings are transparent, like wire sculptures, which works well in VR but a little less so in 2D views of 3D models with their inherent flattening, so I think the next exploration will be more depth extrusion and solid paneling. I can imagine the former in OpenBrush but the latter will be very difficult.
