Mural memorial commemorating George Culmer, Mariner, and Sibylla his wife, located on the south nave arcade of St Peter the Apostle Church, Broadstairs. Elegant late 18th-century memorial displaying the transitional Rococo–Neoclassical style in carved and painted marble. The central tablet, of oval outline, is enclosed within a boldly moulded frame of brown and gilt marble ornamented with volutes, acanthus scrolls, and small cherubic heads. At the top is a sculpted urn with painted heraldic shield and festooned swags, symbolising mourning and remembrance. Below, the apron terminates in a pair of cherub heads in low relief.
