Cupmarks (skålgropar): RAÄ Torsby 401, Sweden 3D Model
Can you see the cupmarks? According to the RAÄ report, there are dozens of them – see the record for site Torsby 401 (http://kulturarvsdata.se/raa/fmi/html/12000000198348). That page links to a 2016 photo (http://www.fmis.raa.se/cocoon/fornsok/scanned_ref.pdf?label=Torsby+401&url=14%2F1482%2F1610%2Ffoto%2F12000000643547_F.jpg) with cupmarks noted using chalk (and someone’s boot to indicate scale). In one part of the site, there are 134 cupmarks and 4 gutters (“rännor”), 6 to 23cm long. I’ve tried to arrange the lighting to make them visible – it may help to rotate the model and/or select Matcap in the Model Inspector options (which should appear from a small icon bottom-right in the viewer).
I’ll post a crop of the model with slightly more detail. Model created from 216 photos using Colmap 3.5 (dev2) and Meshlab. Images taken 2018-07-18.
