More model informationThis model is of the majestic Curatin Fig Tree, a strangler fig (Ficus virens) located just outside of the township of Yungaburra in Queensland, Australia (OSM). The tree is estimated to be 500 years old and has a unique areial root system owing to the host tree falling into it’s neighbour.
The model was captured with a RIEGL VZ-400 terrestrial laser scanner coupled with an RGB camera. Scan team was Phil Wilkes (UCL), Allie Shenkin (Oxford University) and Arun Singh Ramesh (JCU).
