Generic back story: In Eldamar, where magic flowed and adventurers sought glory, Leona, a stout mage, had yet to prove herself. Unlike her peers with sleek robes, Leona stored mana within her body, her curves brimming with arcane power.
“Is she up for this?” Kale, the swordsman, grumbled, eyeing her skeptically.
“I’ll be fine,” she said confidently.
The party, including Kale, Hald the dwarf, and Ela the ranger, sought to defeat the dragon Vothrax. When they reached his lair, the dragon’s flames pushed them back.
“We’re done for!” Kale shouted.
“Not yet,” Leona whispered.
With a surge of mana, her body glowed, and she unleashed a burst of magic that dispelled Vothrax’s fire and bound him in place. The dragon thrashed but collapsed as Leona anchored the spell.
Breathless, Kale stared. “You did it.”
Hald laughed. “By the gods, she did!”
Ela smirked. “Good thing we brought a real mage.”
Leona smiled, wiping her brow. “I told you I’d be fine.”
After that, her strength was never doubted.
