Creating By: TUMO Center for Creative Technologies and Team Perian Media Dadivank, or the Armenian Apostolic Medieval Monastery Complex, is located in Dadivank Village, Shahumyan Region, Dadivan Mountain, on the left bank of the Tartar River. Historically, it was the spiritual leadership of the Greater Kwank province. Khutavank was also called because it was built on a hill. During the excavations carried out in Dadivank’s renovation, on July 21, 2007, the relics of St. Dade apostles were found under the tomb of one of the churches in the monastery complex. There is also another mausoleum, which is not typical of Armenian Christian traditions. The man buried there is sitting in the chair, which is now in the Stepanakert Museum. In the 9th century, the first buildings of the monastic complex were built in the name of the monastery of St. Dadia. In 1145, the Seljuks destroyed the complex, but it was renovated in 1170.
