These particular discs are used by hackers or runners for store big datasets on a single disk.

Their mechanics works like a floppy disk, and the disk itself is not magnetic, instead is formed with man-made nano-crystal polymer who can be altered by a specific laser wavelenght, called L3 Laser, so these disks are readable and writable only by L3 Data-Drive Devices.

The big manufacturer of these disk is an organization called Microtronics, and sometimes on some disks there is an hidden QRCode with quotes of famous history cyberpunk influencers.
