@helijah also those maybe allow it to make a trans-pacific flight
@helijah thanks!
@Davidma37 I have no certainty, but logically they are wing pinion tanks
what are the bulges on the wings about?
@miguelina.barrueto
Indeed interesting but not very used for a flight simulator. I'll see what I can get back. Thank you
sketchfab.com/3d-models/cockpit-of-de-ha... this is the cockpit model if you want it!
its not mine its from @tosolini
@Anna01150
Be careful, I don't always update Sketchaf quickly. The version for FG2020.3.0 is better equipped. helijah.free.fr/comet.png (on FGaddon/Trunk)
Love it, I gonna try installing some instruments from other aircrafts by myself , this cockpit has no instruments at all on fg 2020.3
Yes it's FlightGear :) My hangar : helijah.free.fr
FlightGear : flightgear.org/
Yes here I make WaveFront object. But for FG, I use AC3D object, and on CGtrader and BlendSwap I make Blender files
I understand. I assume the Sim is Flightgear?
Just to show there's no ill-feeling, I look forward to your DH121 2e or 3b, DH 91, DH98 or DH103!!
I said I was a de Havilland person, and now you've made me investigate open source FltSims...
Incidentally, I notice the files are in Wavefront format - interesting...
Thanks.
Thanks for all informations :) But..... But if you looking for a little you will discover that I created these models for an open source flight simulator. The first concern remains the optimization and FPS. It is a matter of choice and time. I have over 300 models maintenanir to date. And I can not spend much time on each. Maybe someday.....
Not trying to be too critical, but the engine ducts on the upper surface of the wing aren't filled in (see: uk.pinterest.com/pin/513340057501718547/ and planespot.com/duxford_imw/target36.html
The leading edge of the wing should be sharper. Looking a the numerous photos online, the aerofoil section needs thinning at the leading edge, but the basic shape is OK.
The intakes as modelled are more like the Comet 1s. The Comet 4 had Avon engines with larger intakes. See: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e...
Apologies for the criticism, I'm just a deHavilland fan - I used to work at Hatfield, and subsequently the Nimrod!
Keep up the good work - I don't know how you turn them out so frequently.
Hi boblo50. the-blueprints.com/blueprints-depot/mode...
Thx
Recognisable, but the wings look too thick and the engine intakes look more Tupolev than deHavilland!
Nice Attempt!
