More model informationThe 115’ long Schooner Defiance, built in 1848 sank in a collision with the Audubon in 1854. It lies in 180’ of water out of Presque Isle, MI in the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary, Lake Huron, The rounded bow is somewhat unique. The model was created from 1227 images taken on one 20 minute dive which was a loop around the wreck followed by a pass that covered some of the deck and penetration into the aft hatch. If you zoom in through the side of the model you can view some of the aft internal cabin structure.
