Deep in the Black Forest, Der Moosgreif roams, a guardian twisted by ancient sorrow. Once a noble hunter, he defied the forest’s spirits, felling an ancient oak to claim its heartwood. In punishment, he was bound to the land, his body merging with the trees. Now, he judges those who tread too greedily, dragging them into the earth where roots weave their bones into the forest’s embrace. On misty nights, villagers hear his mournful whispers, warning them to respect the woods—or be lost to them forever.
