More model informationFirst project trying texture painting. Starting with small stuff made from a 5 min sketch. I do not draw so texture painting is not really intuitive.
Goods:
- pretty cool to imagine something, draw it, and make it a 3D reality. Common occurrence for people in this industry, I know. But it is my first time making something not based on some picture or someone’s picture or model;
- color scheme is relatively close to what I imagined when I drew a sketch;
- the animation is (subjectively) pleasent.
Bads:
- clearly this is a first time trying texture painting so I am not gonna pressure myself to nail it out of the blue with no prior expirience or education;
- no small highlights;
- no minor details;
- no depth to the stones(even though it was the idea, I should’ve added some details);
- some objects like skulls, axe should take up more UV space(I just Smart UV Projected), cause the amount of detail I can put on them with 1024x1024 is relatively small. Cheers!
