More model informationJust a solitay wooden stick I found while wandering through the White Sands desert in New Mexico. Probably a guiding mark, it could also potentially be used as a solar watch. The white sand dunes in this national park are composed of gypsum crystals, and form the largest dunefield of this kind on Earth.
Based on a 25 x 12Mp photo set from June 2019, taken with a smartphone. It’s intersting to see that the ground shadow appears to have ridges on the mesh. They’re of course not present in reality, but show up in the reconstruction probably due to the default sharpening applied by the smartphone’s camera software.
