Rimboard ‘splice’ joint detail - Option 2

When installing standard length Dindas Rimboard, on occasion the rimboard will not join on the centre of a perpendicular RFPI joist. Not too worry, please don’t cut back the Rimboard to suit, simply install all your Rimboard neatly butting the ends together and any joins not aligned to a joist simply ‘back block’ the join with a couple of offcut pieces of timber framing.
