Diplodocus - sub-adult sauropod dinosaur skull

This model is of the sub-adult sauropod dinosaur Diplodocus (CM 3452). The specimen was CT scanned at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital in Athens, Ohio, in 2007 as part of a research project leading to a 2008 publication (http://bit.ly/2x2EfUU). This Sketchfab model was generated by Ryan Ridgely of WitmerLab and is derived from recent work done for a new exhibit called “Cabinet of Curiosities” to be installed in the Pittsburgh International Airport by the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh’s Innovation Studio. Our research was funded in part by U.S. National Science Foundation grants to Witmer and Ridgely, and by the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
