This sketchfab presentation will go through some of the key structual features of DNM1 in humans. These features highlight the function perform by DNM1 and its GTPase activity, which will be used in subsequent experiments in the portfolio. Whilst no detailed structural studies have been undertaken of the yeast homolog of DNM1, so no structural comparison can be shown, we have identified DNM1 as having a yeast homolog based on their high sequence similarity and largely conserved interaction network. These result in the yeast homolog of DNM1 (also referred to as DNM1) as having the same function in endocytosis in yeast cells as the human version.
