One of a cluster of prehistoric carvings found on Baildon Moor, West Yorkshire.
This example sits S of Dobrudden Farm caravan park. Boughey & Vickerman referenced the stone IAG145 in their 2003 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’ where it’s described as:
‘Medium-sized, upstanding, striated grit rock. Two shallow cups, one with irregular rough ring.’
CSI: Rombalds Moor recorded ‘Dobrudden (South) 02’ on ERA, describing the motifs differently.
If anything, this model shows a more complex design than previously recorded and the motifs may include rings and connected grooves. The upper cup may also have a ring.
