Another 3D model of one of the more intricate prehistoric carved rocks on Baildon Moor, West Yorkshire.

This carving was first noted in1912 and was subsequently referenced in Paley Baildon’s 1913 publication ‘Baildon of Baildons’. It was surprisingly omitted from Boughey & Vickermans’ 2003 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’ and English Heritage’s Monuments Protect Programme surveys in the 1990s. However, it was later added to Dr Keith Boughey’s ongoing regional archive as IAG146b. The CSI: Rombalds Moor project recorded the stone as ‘Dobrudden (South) 06’ on ERA in 2013.

During the recent visit, it was clear that several carvings across Baildon Moor, including this one, had been fully exposed over the preceding months.
