This sculpture is inspired by Doom, the first-person shooter video. Handmade using clay and modeling gel, it shows a Doom Marine, fighting for his life with the demons on the plains of the demonic world. The details on this sculpture are mindblowing, so naturally, we used a Space Spider to preserve all the fine details in both geometry and color. There are plenty of difficult angles in this installation, especially the demon with his head thrown back - there is no way you can position a Spider in the right way to capture his front side, so for this we used Artec Eva with its superior reach. The texture inpainting algorithms work is especially effective here, while there are several areas that lack texture frames, they are barely noticeable thanks to the texture inpainting.
