Dorfrathaus Freilichtmuseum Roscheider Hof

Das Dorfrathaus aus Gödenroth war das erste Gebäude, das im Freilichtmuseum Roscheider Hof wiedererrichtet wurde. Ursprünglich wurde es 1749 in dem Hunsrückdorf Gödenroth als einstöckiges Hirtenhaus der Gemeinde erbaut. Schon 1792 sah die Gemeinde die Notwendigkeit, es zum Dorfrathaus aufzustocken. Es erhielt ein Krüppelwalmdach mit Dachreiter. Hier war die Rathausglocke untergebracht, die die Gemeinsleute zur Gemeinderatssitzung rief.

The village council house from Gödenroth was the first building to be reconstructed in the Roscheider Hof open-air museum. It was originally built in 1749 in the Hunsrück village of Gödenroth as a one-storey shepherd’s house for the community. As early as 1792, the community recognised the need to extend it to become the village council house. It was given a crippled hipped roof with a ridge turret. The town hall bell was housed here, which rang to summon the commoners to the town council meeting.
