銅鐸は日本の弥生時代の祭器です。内部に棒を吊り下げ、鳴らして使われたと考えられています。 弥生時代から古墳時代に移ると銅鐸は姿を消します。現在までに見つかっている銅鐸の数は400点以上に上るとみられます。

Dotaku (bronze bells) are ritual tools of the Yayoi period in Japan. It is thought to have been used by suspending a rod inside and ringing it. Dotaku disappeared from the Yayoi period to the Kofun period. It is estimated that more than 400 pieces of Dotakus have been found to date.
