I love the idea of curses and cursed objects. Sunken treasure and curses go hand in hand. The inescapable ruinination, that is ever present to the people of bilgewater, can infuse into objects of great value to damn those foolish enouhg to think they can claim glory. So the idea of channeling that unfathomable power into a single coin was something I wanted to explore and this was the result.
