TRURI : 700.988 - A beige double-layered cape in fine wool lined with silk and cotton. Self-coloured elaborate embroidery in front corners, an embroidered deep cape collar with silk satin ribbon ties. The style was in fashion between 1870 and 1910, often as a Christening or carrying cape for babies, but could also be worn by younger children. It is incredibly long and could fit a teenager or even a petite adult.
