More model informationCongenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries (CCTGA) is a congenital heart defect that occurs when a baby’s heart develops incorrectly in the womb. This condition is marked by the reversal of the heart’s two ventricles. Some hearts with CCTGA also have a ventral septal defect (VSD). To redirect blood flow to the correct ventricles a Double Switch procedure is performed. This model shows the surgical steps of the Double Switch procedure for a heart with a VSD.
