The design began as a sash such as might be worn at a pageant or awards ceremony. The idea of a straight sash morphed into a spiral design - evolving, moving, beginning anew. This piece represents the breast cancer survivors saying to the world: I’m still here. Still a beautiful individual in whom others find value, regardless of my experience. I know myself better - I know how strong I am. Life is still an amazing adventure, and I appreciate it more deeply. My worth is enhanced and magnified by my strength.
