During the excavation of the bypassing road near the town Bátonyterenye (Northern Hungary) we registered a settlement from the Late Avar Period and Early Arpadian Era in 2022. Many settlement features had been discovered from the 8th to 13th centuries like pits with animal skeletons, kilns and dwellings. This model represents one of the youngest sunken featured building from this period. Its structure is unusual among excavated pit-houses from this period of Hungary until now.
