This Sea Lion statuette is one of my favorite pieces of decoration from the living room of my family’s house in Brittany in France (scanned here), which we usually keep somewhere around the fireplace (scanned there too 😉).
The statuette is approximately 20cm long, made of very light resin, and painted with a nice chipped wood effect.
Although - quoting Wikipedia here - eared seals are conspicuously absent in the north Atlantic, there are a lot of grey seals in the region: if you ever go to Brittany, I’d recommend making the trip to the natural reserve of the Sept-Iles archipelago, where you’ll have the most chances to see them !
