Section 2/20: The East Axis of the Western High Gate of Medinet Habu.

With the west axis in section 1, these two areas represent the main passage through the Western High Gate. The passageway would have been open to the sky except at its eastern extremity, where a multi-story central tower stood guarding the entrance to the temple precinct.
