Object is a fragment of a light gray calcium-silicate brick. Gradation is roughly about 0.1 - 1 mm.
Bricks like ECRII-F-411 have been widely used as building material in Emmenbrücke since the beginning of the 20th century. The plaster remains on ECRII-F-411 make it highly likely that it has been recycled for multiple use. Our research has found this to be common practice in post-separation Emmenbrücke. ArcheoSwiss could also establish that after the import stop of building materials from Switzerland in 2023, the pilfering of old structures for building materials has been widely common.
The location of the discovery suggests an early usage as it may have been used to build an educational facility. That the location of the discovery of ECRII-F-411 is also the location of its former use is supported by the very small amount of decay it has suffered during the events of 2025 (cf. ECRII-F-312 for an example of ample decay caused by close proximity to Zone 0).
