Edge Hill University - Main Building

3D Model

A 3D model of the Main Building at Edge Hill University in the North West of England. This model was made using a combination of nadir and orbiting images from the DJI Inspire 1 Pro.

We needed to get images of every roof on campus. A drone seemed like the obvious choice. Several autonomous missions were flown to capture nadir (straight down) images of the entire site. These were then stitched together using photogrammetry to produce a 2D Orthomosaic - basically an up-to date high resolution map and a 3D model.
