Esta obra se esculpió con la madera del nogal que estaba situado junto al kiosko de la Plaza de los Fueros. (Alsasua,Navarra). El nogal murió cuando tenía alrededor de 350 años. Tras su talado en 1991 Jose Ulibarrena Arellano, dió nuevamente vida al nogal con esta obra (1994). La escultura mide más de 4 metros de altura, recoge la identidad del pueblo, representando por figuras los símbolos y acontecimientos históricos de Alsasua, sus raices como pueblo, trabajo, naturaleza, mitología, deporte, costumbres…

This work was sculpted with the walnut wood that was located in the Plaza de los Fueros (Alsasua, Navarra-Spain). The walnut died when it was around 350 years old. After its felling in 1991, Jose Ulibarrena Arellano brought the walnut to life again with this work (1994). The sculpture is more than 4 meters high, collects the identity of the town, representing by figures the symbols and historical events of Alsasua, its roots as a town, work, nature, mythology, sport, customs …
