Officially openned on the Independance day on July 4th, 2014. This monument is dedicated to US citizen Eleanor Lord Pray who lived during rought times in Vladivostok, Russia from July 1894 to December 1930. She left a lot of letters about and photos of this area that were composen into book in 2008: Элеонора Лорд Прей. Письма из Владивостока (1894-1930). (ISBN 978-5-85538-029-3).

This is an interesting composition right near the post office, the woman’s firure is so light and gesture is so profound that one can wonder: at some moment she’ll continue her movement into the door nearby.
