Elliptical perspective

Elliptical perspective is an ideal way to depict volume on a 2 dimensional surface. Through this method of drawing it is possible to depict half of the visible world. It allows the viewer to become a participant of the represented action. The surprising effect of a living presence in a picture is reached through precise calculations of the artist’s and viewer’s point of view. Many generations of artists tried to achieve this effect by fixing their head, or the models, in an unmovable position. This method has not produced the given results. Not only because of imperfect rules used in previous perspectives, but also because of an imperfect philosophical understanding of the phenomenon itself.
