There is an opportunity in PC gaming that allows hobbyist game hosts and online clans to host and customize their own gaming servers. Typically, this is achieved by renting a server in-cloud or having an old computer on your network running the game, allowing people to join. The problem with renting a server is the costly monthly fees and limitations on how many players can connect simultaneously as a way to get you to purchase a more expensive subscription. Many people choose to host their own server on a home network with an old PC or laptop but this takes up physical space and requires a bit of “know-how” to setup.
