Entexinat o teginat (in Catalan) is a term for a type of intricately joined wooden ceiling in which supplementary laths are interlaced into the rafters supporting the roof to form decorative geometric patterns.
The Floresta castle has a nave decorated with plaster mouldings, of which the molds have been preserved. They are structured on the basis of boxes and beams. The caskets have an identical decoration in the shape of a flower, with the petals in a helicoid. The bands, on the other hand, alternate flowers, leaves or spikes. Polychromy plays with golds and blues. They can be dated to the 16th century, when the Renaissance innovations arrived in Catalonia, which immediately mixed with the Gothic substratum that would remain for a long time, especially in the rural environment.
