Background
This was the final result from two environment art assignments completed on 22/06/2018:

- Create a Modular ‘Hero Asset’.
- Create an environment diorama for your Hero Asset.

The Hero Asset I designed was a player ‘checkpoint’ for a 2.5D platforming game (the player would hit the bell to activate it, and a fire would light in the stone ‘brazier’ to show the checkpoint was active).
The environment itself was more challenging. Because of the core concept being a 2.5D platformer, I had to focus most of the details in the background, but still wasn’t sure what the overall setting would be. Eventually, I made up my mind.
Overall, I’m happy with the final outcome! I may not have gotten it as detailed as I wanted it, but I learned a lot in the end.

Art: Vertex Painting. Water and wood texture by me. Scene assembled with approximately 10 Modular Assets.
