3D Model

I’m learning to build web-friendly 3D models of natural areas and habitats that can be integrated into immersive virtual field trips for our students. This model is a work in progress towards a 3D and spherical panorama visit to the Environmental Learning Center at the Clackamas Community College, in Oregon City, Oregon. Even with a small area, the tall trees pose challenges to accurately photograph and model.

The draft model used 315 DJI Mavic Pro drone images, collected using Pix4D Capture, and processed using Agisoft Metashape Pro.

My next challenge is to figure out these floating tree artifacts!
