Epitafio, torreón de Sofuentes II (siglo I d.C.)3D Model
Fragmentary inscription framed by a tabula ansata, reused -along with other fragments from the same funerary monument- for the construction of the tower of Sofuentes. Today it can be seen in the wall of a private property confining with the tower of Sofuentes. It provides evidence for an Atilius, a member of the recognised local family of the Atilii, that could have controlled the civic oligarchy at Los Bañales and at Cabezo Ladrero de Sofuentes in the Julio-Claudian period and in the 2nd century AD.
