Equirectangular Projection Mesh that I made to bruteforce 360 degree equirectangular output in my GODOT engine project. This model is basically a cube with 6 materials, representing 6 parts of 360 cubemap projection: front, back, right, left, top and bottom. But as you can see, it’s geometry is warped in such a way to accomodate the distortion of equrectangular projection. You can use this model to convert cubemap images or videos into ER or, as I did, project 3d-cameras on according sides and get a finished 360 output for your game. This model has UVs mirrored vertiacally to make up for OpenGL initially inverted output of 3d-cameras. You can select the whole model altogether and mirror UVs back. Notice it has lousy very bottom and very top distortion that will form a small flower on a finished render, but it’ll do for me now.
