A proposal for a Municipal Cafe in Ermoupoli, one of the first free Greek towns on an island called Syros, the heart of Cyclades and the Aegean Sea.
Being a neutral place made a huge difference when the richest Greeks started fleeing the Ottoman Empire. It didn’t take long for Ermoupoli to become a shining beacon of international commerce, culture, technology, and architecture in the 19th century, and one of the hotbeds of the Industrial Revolution in Greece.
For the first time, based on the only original colored drawing and blueprint left, this building can be seen, reconstructed in 3D.
This model is only a small part of a larger historical VR project. If you want to know more and keep up with its progress visit and follow our page on Facebook: https://www.fb.me/Syra1800/
