ESP Escudo de la infanta Juana de Austria en la fachada principal del Convento de las Descalzas Reales de Madrid, del cual fue fundadora en 1559. Hermana de Felipe II, quedó viuda del infante D. Juan Manuel de Portugal, tras lo cual volvió a Castilla. El escudo preside el tímpano de la fachada de la iglesia, que aunque se construyó a mediados del s. XVI fue remodelada en el S. XVIII por Juan de Villanueva.

ENG Coat of arms of the Infanta Juana of Austria on the main façade of the Convent of the Descalzas Reales in Madrid, which she founded in 1559. Sister of Philip II, she became the widow of the Infante Juan Manuel of Portugal, after which she returned to Castile. The coat of arms presides over the tympanum of the façade of the church, which, although built in the mid-16th century, was remodelled in the 18th century by Juan de Villanueva.
