ESP32 HikeBuddy

This is an ESP32 development board that I have designed. It is geared towards making a hiking/biking computer.

It includes sensors for humidity, pressure and temperature for weather monitoring, and an accelerometer, magnetometer and GPS module for navigation. The board also leaves open interfaces for I2C and UART to expand and connect other modules. There is a LiPo charge controller and 3.3V regulator on board, along with a JST connector for LiPo batteries.

The UI consists of a 5-way button, an RGB indicator LED and a 2.7” ultra low-power Sharp Memory LCD. It also includes a Reset and Flash button for programming over USB, and an SD card slot.

The ESP32 low-power controller comes with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity to enable other modes of data transfer, OTA updates and connecting to other BLE sensors such as HRMs, speed and cadence etc.
