The hydraulic pilot pump for an excavator is a crucial component of the machine’s hydraulic system. This pump generates the pressure needed to control the valves and power the excavator’s various functions, such as moving its arms and bucket.

This model shows an exploded view of the pilot pump for a medium-sized excavator (around 20 tons), with all the key parts labeled. The pump features an integrated pressure relief valve to limit pump pressure.
